CostGuardian works by ensuring that servers are only running when they absolutely need to. Scheduling out of hours stop, start and resize saves you money on auto-pilot.
CostGuardian can only see the server ID, server name, model, and the length of time running. At no point can CostGuardian see data held on a server or access the services running on it.
No, not at all. When you setup CostGuardian, you choose which servers you want it to manage. All other servers although visible to CostGuardian (so you can add them to management in the future) are outside of our control.
Your security is critical to us. The only security information you need to provide to CostGuardian is an ARN that you create with permissions that you control. We have no access to login credentials, public/private keys or any other security information.
No, absolutely not. Our monthly cost is determined by the maximum number of servers under CostGuardian control at any point in the month. Unmanaged servers are not charged.
CostGuardian generates the majority of the savings in EC2 because for most companies this is the biggest AWS cost. CostGuardian also generates savings in RDS, backups and many other AWS products.
We do not offer refunds. You are only ever committed to the month you have currently paid for. If you cancel (which you can at any time) then your service will expire at the end of the current paid period.
Try CostGuardian for free for 30 days. There are no contracts and you can cancel any time.
